Re-purpose Your Older Computer Equipment

Don’t throw away your old computer; re-purpose with Technology For All and make a difference in someone’s life.  Your older technology will be greatly appreciated by the people we serve.

If your equipment meets the minimum requirements below, please complete the In-Kind Donation Form and bring it with you when you drop off your equipment to us.   

All donations are tax-deductible to the extent that U.S. law allows.

Minimum Equipment Requirements*:

Computers (working condition only)

  • Processor,  2.5 GHz speed
  • RAM,  4 GB
  • Hard Drive, 400 GB

We respect your privacy!  If your device contains personal information, we will  securely erase hard drive data according to United States DOD standards prior to re-purposing.  Our technicians will never see your private information and your information cannot be recovered.

Monitors (must be in working condition)

  • All flat screen 18″ and above

No CRT monitors.

Printers

  • Sorry, we no longer accept printers unless they are working, business-class, printers.
  • No ink jet.
  • Must be USB, network, or wireless. No parallel ports.

 

Drop Off Procedure:

Please deliver equipment to:

9 am-3 pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday

If you cannot deliver it, please call us at 713.454.6400 to see if pick-up can be arranged.

 

* If your equipment does not meet the above minimums, please recycle it!

 

Expanded Electronic Recycling in Houston

The City of Houston has a more comprehensive electronics waste (e-waste) products program for residents.  Houstonians can now drop off e-waste to be recycled  free of charge at storage facilities participating in the GREENspot DROPoff Houston Program.

Currently, there are over 30 locations throughout the city where residents can drop off e-waste, most within 3 miles of your location.  For GREENspot locations, visit http://dropoff.houstontx.gov.
