TFA-JobTech utilizes the assets, capacity and resources of Technology For All and the low-income communities it serves. The initial TFA-JobTech infrastructure was capitalized by a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce.
As a Technology For All (TFA) social enterprise, TFA-JobTech is creating livable wage jobs in low-income communities through an innovative utilization of technology tools connected to and utilized by existing Community Technology Centers (CTCs) serving those communities. TFA-JobTech trains and employs persons for jobs as “document conversion specialists” within walking distance of their homes by utilizing a sustainable business model that leverages and builds on existing community technology capacity in community-based and faith-based organizations.
Technology For All is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and JobTech revenue above expenses is utilized to help TFA achieve its charitable mission to empower communities.
