The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act provided the NTIA with $4.7 billion to support broadband access and expansion in the United States through the BTOP grant period. In 2010, Technology For All was the recipient of a $9.6 million BTOP grant to provide free computer literacy training to Greater Houston, Rural Texas, Austin and San Antonio through the Texas Connects Coalition project.

To showcase the local impact, Technology For All invites members of the media for an open house and guided tour. Technology For All President and CEO Dr. Will Reed will be available for comments.

The Coalition has recently reached its own milestone—over one million users have received free broadband and technology access and training through the program at 91 Public Computer Centers.
